Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Meat Department Manager to lead daily operations, ensure food safety, merchandising, and customer service in a fast-paced retail setting. You will coach team members, manage production, scheduling, inventory, and apply promotions to drive sales and profitability.

This role requires strong planning, communication, and a commitment to quality, consistency, and service at every shift.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Meat Department operations to meet service, quality, and financial goals.
• Maintain a professional, customer-focused environment and respond to inquiries.
• Plan and coordinate daily production activities including prep, packaging, stocking.
• Ensure displays are stocked, rotated, labeled, and maintained to standards.
• Implement promotions and seasonal programs as scheduled.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, temperature, and regulatory requirements.
• Review production results and adjust activities to support yield and profitability.
• Manage ordering, inventory, shrink, reclamation, and department expenses.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and oversee training.
• Schedule, coach, and supervise associates to meet coverage and performance.
• Complete and maintain required documentation including logs, reports, and audits.
