Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a Meat Department Supervisor to lead a team in our store. The role involves scheduling, training, and performance management, ensuring product quality, freshness, and accurate pricing.

You will develop merchandising plans and coordinate with other departments to meet sales goals. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of retail management experience, a high school diploma or GED, and preferably an associate/bachelor's degree in business or food service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business related or food service related field desirable.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in management within a retail/restaurant/supermarket environment.
• Meat management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes excellent customer relations by instilling positive customer focused behavior with associates.
• Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions and helps resolve customer concerns promptly in a polite and professional manner.
• Develops and implements localized merchandising plans, sets up and creates displays for new or seasonal items to drive sales.
• Schedules Meat associates, oversees training, rewards and recognizes performance and delegates work assignments.
• Maintains inventory levels and reviews orders to ensure product quantities meet customer demand.
• Ensures associates correctly follow company recipes for prepared products and maintains freshness.
