Job summary

PAQ, Inc. in Ohio is seeking a Meat 3rd to support the meat department management team, supervise Meat Clerks and Cutters, ensure proper stocking, rotation, and presentation of products, and help achieve sales and profit goals.

This role requires leadership, inventory control, knife skills, and the ability to train staff, resolve issues, and maintain health and safety compliance in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Over five years of meat-cutting experience is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus.
• Knowledge: Meat products and department operations; health and safety regulations related to food handling.
• Skills: Leadership, inventory management, knife skills, basic math, organization, communication.
• Abilities: Resolve conflicts, motivate, attention to detail; adjust to changing situations and work with diverse personalities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations of the meat department.
• Supervise and train Meat Clerks and Cutters.
• Ensure proper stocking, rotation, and presentation of products.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Perform duties of Meat Cutter and Clerk as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
