Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to support the Meat Manager in directing all aspects of Meat Department operations, including production, merchandising, inventory, customer service, and food safety compliance.

You will help drive sales, maintain high product quality, and lead a team in a fast-paced environment while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in meat department, grocery, or retail supervision preferred.
• Knowledge of meat cutting, merchandising, inventory management, and food safety.
• Strong customer service, communication, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily Meat Department operations.
• Ensure meat and seafood products are cut, packaged, labeled, stocked, and merchandised.
• Maintain department standards for product quality, freshness, availability, and presentation.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, inventory control, and production planning.
• Support implementation of department promotions, seasonal programs, and merchandising initiatives.
• Lead and coach department associates in the absence of the Meat Manager.
