Qualifications

• Proven experience managing meat department operations, with focus on freshness and merchandising.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute production activities and promotional programs.
• Strong customer service mindset and ability to respond to inquiries and special orders.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in inventory, ordering, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Meat Department operations to meet service, quality, and financial expectations
• Maintain a professional, customer-focused environment and respond to customer inquiries and special orders
• Plan and coordinate daily production activities including preparation, packaging, stocking, and merchandising
• Ensure displays are stocked, rotated, labeled, and maintained to company standards
• Implement promotional and seasonal programs as scheduled
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, temperature, and regulatory requirements
• Review production results and adjust activities to support yield and profitability goals
• Manage ordering, inventory levels, shrink, reclamation, and departmental expenses
• Maintain clean, safe work areas including preparation rooms, coolers, freezers, display cases, and equipment
• Schedule, train, coach, and oversee associates to ensure coverage and performance expectations
• Complete and maintain required documentation including logs, reports, and audits
