Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a Meat Department team member at our Halifax, PA location to support sales, profit and customer service goals in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include receiving deliveries, weighing, pricing and labeling, stocking cases, ensuring food safety, training teammates, and helping manage the department in the meat manager's absence. Ability to work in a cold environment is required.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without accommodation, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries, breakdown loads, and rotate cooler.
• Weigh, price, and label products for sale.
• Stock cases and prepare valued-added items.
• Provide exemplary customer service and maintain product knowledge.
• Execute weekly merchandising plans and manage inventory control.
• Train team members and assist in department coverage when the manager is absent.
