Albertsons Companies is seeking a Meat Department Manager to lead daily operations, ensure quality, safety, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced retail environment. You will oversee production, merchandising, and inventory, coach associates, plan schedules, and implement promotions while maintaining company standards for freshness and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in meat department production and merchandising.
• Inventory management and shrink control knowledge.
• Labor planning, scheduling, and performance management experience.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and compliance standards.
• Ability to review sales, labor, inventory, and production data.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Meat Department operations to meet service, quality, and financial expectations.
• Maintain a professional, customer-focused environment and respond to inquiries and special orders.
• Plan and coordinate daily production activities including preparation, packaging, stocking, and merchandising.
• Ensure displays are stocked, rotated, labeled, and maintained to company standards.
• Implement promotional and seasonal programs as scheduled.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, temperature, and regulatory requirements.
• Review production results and adjust activities to support yield and profitability goals.
• Manage ordering, inventory levels, shrink, reclamation, and departmental expenses.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas including preparation rooms, coolers, freezers, display cases, and equipment.
• Schedule, train, coach, and oversee associates to ensure coverage and performance expectations.
• Complete and maintain required documentation including logs, reports, and audits.
