Job summary

Sam’s Club in Layton, UT is seeking a Meat Department Lead to supervise a team of hourly associates, drive department sales, and ensure member satisfaction.

You’ll develop product knowledge, leverage digital tools for forecasting and planning, maintain safety and inventory standards, and mentor teammates while delivering high quality meat products.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in a meat production department or supervising a team.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Acknowledges completing required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time if selected.

Responsibilities

• Lead the meat department team to meet business goals and serve members.
• Maintain knowledge of product specs, quality, inventory, safety and compliance.
• Use handheld technology to forecast, plan, and drive sales.
• Ensure staffing levels, auditing, and compliance; manage equipment and storage systems.
• Train, mentor and develop team members and recruit talent as needed.
