Job summary

In-N-Out Burger is seeking a full-time Meat Department General Helper in Lancaster, Texas. You will unload deliveries, ensure product accuracy and USDA standards, and manage inventory and rotation of chuck beef. You’ll assist in cutting, moving to the butchers' table, and help with equipment after production.

The role is hourly, non-exempt, with a 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. schedule, five days a week, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year experience in a meat facility or food processing environment preferred.
• Ability to work in a team and in cold conditions.

Responsibilities

• Unloads chuck beef deliveries and ensures accuracy and USDA standards.
• Maintains proper product stock, rotation, and tracking of chuck inventory.
• Moves beef to the butchers' table during production hours and trims meat as needed.
• Assists in disassembling equipment after production and supports other meat department roles.

We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Meat Department General Helper in our Lancaster, Texas Meat Department.

General Responsibilities:

• Manually unloads chuck beef deliveries from trailers and ensures that deliveries are accurate and that product meets In-N-Out and USDA standards.
• Responsible for proper product stock, rotation, and tracking chuck inventory.
• Responsible for moving beef to the butchers' table during production hours.
• Responsible for Trimming meat as necessary.
• Assist in disassembling all equipment after production has ended each day.
• Assisting in other meat department positions when necessary.

• Starting Pay: $22.75- $24.50 per hour depending on experience (DOE)

The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your experience and other job-related factors.

• Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; some overtime as needed
• 5 days per week, rotating schedule and alternating days off
• Weekend and holiday availability required

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• A minimum of one (1) year experience working in a meat facility, food processing plant, or similar is preferred.
• Experience with food line work; repetitive line work.
• Ability to move freely in and around obstacles common in the meat production room.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

• Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.
• Cold working conditions - Ability to withstand prolonged work assignments in temperatures as low as 34 degrees Fahrenheit; Temperature fluctuations in the warehouse
• Maintain constant mental focus and constantly be aware of surroundings
