Job summary

ShopRite of Wayne Hills Mall in Wayne, NJ is seeking a Meat Clean-Up Clerk to maintain cleanliness and order in the Meat Department and surrounding areas. You will support the Meat Department Manager by keeping equipment, surfaces, and floors sanitary and safe.

The role involves lifting up to 80-90 lbs, standing long shifts, and working in cold refrigerated spaces; punctual attendance and teamwork are essential, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Stand/walk for entire shift.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Lift up to 80-90 lbs regularly; occasionally 35 lbs.
• Interact with customers in a friendly manner.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Maintain punctual and regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment.
• Keep floor clear of debris and spills.
• Assemble and disassemble Meat Department equipment (band saws, grinders).
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify when low.
• Work in refrigerated and cold storage areas.
• Check prices and locate items in store.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
• Adhere to safety and QA standards; follow CO0L regulations.
