Job summary

ShopRite of Columbia Park in North Bergen is looking for a Meat Clean-Up Clerk to maintain cleanliness in the Meat Department and adjacent areas, ensuring sanitary conditions and smooth daily operations.

You will perform essential cleanup tasks, monitor equipment, and assist with stocking while upholding safety and health standards. Lifts up to 80-90 lbs may be required; strong teamwork and reliable attendance are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly.
• Able to perform basic math and measurements.
• Able to stand/walk for entire shift and lift heavy items.
• Able to work in cold refrigerated rooms and freezer spaces.
• Adhere to health, safety and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, neat, safe Meat Department area and equipment.
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces, utensils, and equipment per standards.
• Handle inventory, assist with stocking, and monitor cleanliness.
• Assist customers in a friendly manner and follow service priorities.
• Adhere to safety procedures and local, state, and federal regulations.
