Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Team Member to support the meat department with counter service, stocking, and sanitation. The role emphasizes courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service while upholding company standards and health and safety regulations.

You will work with the meat team to promote programs and maintain clean displays. Experience in retail is not required; the position may involve various physical duties, flexible shifts, and participation in training and team meetings.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensures fresh, appealing display by checking quality, stocking, rotating products and removing out-of-date items.
• Maintains back stock in good order and supports sampling programs.
• Performs cleaning of cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, floors, and drains as required.
• Delivers courteous customer service, answers phones promptly, and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Prepares, stores, rotates, stocks and merchandises products to maximize sales.
• Follows health, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintains a clean work area.
• Assists with opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accurate pricing and signage.
• Reports safety hazards promptly and supports other duties as assigned.
