Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado is seeking a Meat Clerk to support the Meat Department with customer service, proper food handling, and merchandise presentation.

You will stock fresh and frozen cases, update pricing, ensure product quality and rotation, rewrap meat packages as needed, and maintain a clean, safe work environment while delivering a great customer experience.

Early start at 5:00 am is required, and you may perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1+ years meat department experience in a retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Stocking and merchandising in fresh and frozen cases.
• Update product pricing as necessary.
• Ensure product quality, protections, accuracy, and proper rotation in coolers.
• Rewrap meat packages as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation requirements.
• Ensure great customer experience.
• Maintains meat displays clean and presentable.
• Store cleaning supplies properly.
• Advertising department products.
• 5:00 am start time.
• Other duties as assigned.
