Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado in Houston, TX seeks a Meat Clerk to assist the Meat Department with high-level customer service and safe food handling, performing a variety of tasks to keep displays attractive and products fresh.

You will stock and merch in fresh and frozen cases, update pricing, ensure quality and rotation, and uphold a clean, safe work environment. This role requires at least a high school diploma and 1+ year meat department experience, with a 5:00 am start.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1+ years meat department experience.

Responsibilities

• Stocking and merchandising in fresh and frozen cases.
• Update product pricing as necessary.
• Ensure product quality, protections, accuracy, and proper rotation in coolers.
• Rewrap meat packages as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment for safety and sanitation.
• Ensure great customer experience.
• Maintain pork rind rack clean and organized.
• Keep meat displays clean and presentable.
• Store cleaning supplies properly.
• Assist the advertising department with products.
• Start time at 5:00 am.
• Other duties as assigned.
