Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado is seeking a Meat Clerk to join the team and support the Meat Department with customer service and daily operations. You will handle stocking, merchandising, pricing, and quality control while adhering to food safety standards.

The role emphasizes a high level of customer service, safe handling of meats, and accurate product rotation in both fresh and frozen sections, with a 5:00 am start time.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred and will be used to assist customers.
• Knowledge of safe food handling procedures and sanitation
• Experience in a meat department is a plus, with ability to handle products properly.

Responsibilities

• Assist meat department with stocking and merchandising in fresh and frozen sections.
• Assist with updating product pricing as needed.
• Ensure product quality, proper rotation, and safety standards in cooler areas.
• Rewrap meat packages as required and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with selections.
