Job summary

Super One Foods in Minnesota is seeking an Apprentice Journey Meat Person to learn all aspects of retail meat cutting for chicken, beef, pork and fish, including frozen items. Excellent customer service is essential.

You will work in refrigerated spaces and on the retail floor, handling equipment such as saws, slicers, grinders, and knives; lifting up to 30 lbs regularly and 80 lbs occasionally; advancement opportunities exist with benefits like health insurance and 401k.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and 80 lbs occasionally.
• Willing to learn all aspects of the meat department and operate related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Learn to cut meat to store standards and present, wrap, display, and sell meat products.
• Work in refrigerated spaces as well as on the retail floor.
• Learn to use meat saw, slicer, grinder, and cutting with knives.
• Shifts may vary but mostly mornings and afternoons.
