Job summary

Super One Foods in Iron Mountain, MI is seeking an Apprentice Journey Meat Person to learn all aspects of retail meat cutting including chicken, beef, pork and fish as well as frozen items. You will cut meat to store standards, present, wrap, display and sell meat products while working in refrigerated spaces and on the retail grocery floor.

Must be 18, able to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and 80 lbs occasionally.

Qualifications

• Must be able to learn all aspects of retail meat cutting including chicken, beef, pork and fish as well as frozen items.

Responsibilities

• Cut meat to store standards and present, wrap, display, and sell meat products.
• Work in both refrigerated spaces and on the retail grocery selling floor.
• Learn to operate meat saw, slicer, grinder, and cutting with knives.
• Shifts mostly mornings and afternoons.
