Job summary

Kroger is hiring for a Meat Department position at our North Las Vegas store. You will perform general product preparation, cleaning, stock work and customer service to support daily store operations.

Role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work weekends/holidays, and a commitment to safety and quality in handling meat products. On-site responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, inventory, and customer interactions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read shelf tags, signs, and product labels.
• Must work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and operate certain equipment.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Meat work experience or similar experience in food preparation.
• Past work record reflects dependability and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks such as cutting, grinding, slicing, preparing, processing, trimming, tenderizing, sealing, packaging, labeling, pricing and merchandising.
• Stock and display meat items safely and in accordance with company standards.
• Check product quality; ensure proper rotation and freshness.
• Keep department areas and coolers clean and organized.
• Unload trucks, sort orders and place in proper cooler locations.
• Provide friendly customer service and assist associates as needed.
• Maintain equipment, reporting issues and ensuring health department compliance.
