Job summary

The Kroger Co. Meat department is hiring a team member to support product preparation, stocking and customer service. You will cut, slice, grind and wrap meat, label items and ensure rotation and safe handling.

You’ll help keep the department clean, organized and compliant with policies while delivering friendly service to customers and fellow associates. This role requires effective communication, the ability to read product labels, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read shelf tags, signs, and product labels.

• Must work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and operate certain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform meat preparation tasks: cutting, grinding, slicing, packaging, labeling.
• Stock and display meat items safely according to standards.
• Maintain temperature logs and ensure product rotation.
• Provide friendly customer service and assist associates.
• Unload trucks and sort orders to proper cooler locations.
• Keep work areas clean and organized; adhere to policies.
