Job summary

Tony's Market in Littleton, CO is hiring a Meat Cutter to grind, cut and prepare fresh meat for display and sale. You will greet customers, use cutting tools safely, trim primals, inspect quality, and help maintain inventory and display cases. Candidates should have strong communication, reliability, and the ability to work weekends.

This is a full-time, on-site role with competitive hourly pay and opportunities to grow within the meat department.

Qualifications

2-3 years meat cutting experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multitask and stay organized.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and ensure customer satisfaction.
Use knives, cleavers, meat saws, bandsaws or other equipment to cut and trim meat.
Clean, trim, slice, and section primals and meat for processing or packaging.
Remove parts such as skin, feathers, scales or bones from primals.
Cut, trim, bone, tie, and grind meats to prepare for cooking.
Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery to ensure quality.
Prepare roasts using boning knife, skewers and twine.
Inspect meat products for defects and trim excess fat.
Produce hamburger meat and meat trimmings.
Wrap, weigh, label and price cuts of meat.
Prepare and display meat cuts to catch shopper’s eye.
Prepare special cuts ordered by customers.
Estimate requirements and order meat supplies to maintain inventories.
Record quantity of meat received and issued to other departments.
Complete specials projects and other duties as assigned
Timely and consistent attendance.
