Job summary

Raley's is seeking a Meat Cutter to handle daily operations in the Meat and Seafood departments, delivering memorable customer service while upholding food safety and sanitation standards. The role supports stocking, production, and merchandising tasks in a fast-paced retail setting.

The Meat Cutter will perform cutting, wrapping and labeling, assist with deli products, and ensure accurate pricing and signage. This position requires safety awareness and teamwork in a busy store environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in meat department operations preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Order, cut, grind, slice, weigh, wrap and label products per quality and safety standards.
• Control shrink and inventory costs through proper handling.
• Sell products with excellent, helpful customer information.
• Operate meat department tools and equipment safely.
• Ensure correct pricing, signage and product placement.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked meat counter and service cases.
• Assist with ready-to-go meat products and deli meats/cheeses.
• Take customer orders and ensure timely completion.
• Safety-sensitive position.
• All other related duties as assigned.
