Job summary

Joe V’s Smart Shop, a division of H-E-B, in the Greater Houston area, is seeking a Meat Cutter I to join the team. You will cut, prepare, tray, and merchandise fresh meat daily while upholding food safety standards and sanitation requirements.

Excellent customer service will be essential as you maintain displays and assist shoppers. You will operate grinders and slicers, label products, and help rotate stock while supporting other market duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must complete Meat Cutting Academy certification.
• Retail meat experience preferred.
• Knowledge of product rotation and sanitation standards.
• Ability to follow SOPs and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, trays meat for display according to standards.
• Operates grinder, saw, slicer and other equipment.
• Weighs, wraps and labels packages for sale.
• Maintains cold storage and rotates stock.
• Provides excellent customer service.
