Job summary

Busch’s Fresh Market in Michigan is seeking a Meat/Seafood Department team member to help guests, offer cut recommendations, and ensure accurate packaging and freshness.

Responsibilities include receiving deliveries, setting up service cases, rotating stock, promoting products with samples, and maintaining sanitation per food-safety standards. Requires 3+ years in Meat/Seafood and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Meat/Seafood Department.
• Cutting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of various cuts of beef, pork, veal, lamb and poultry.
• Food safety certification preferred.
• Proficient selling and interpersonal skills.
• Merchandising and sanitation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests by answering questions and helping with purchases.
• Make recommendations on cuts, preparation methods and meal ideas.
• Determine cutting needs based on guest requests.
• Custom cut meat products to guest specifications.
• Cut and process all fresh meat per quality standards.
• Receive, verify and store department deliveries.
• Package and price products and rotate stock for freshness.
• Promote products by samples and maintain service/self-service cases.
• Clean and sanitize department, equipment and work areas.
• Follow safety and food handling practices.
