Job summary

Floco Foods is hiring for a meat department role at its IGA store in the Carolinas. You will provide friendly service to guests, help prepare meat products to standard, and manage stock and prices while maintaining sanitation.

The role includes handling special guest requests, temperature monitoring, and assisting with receiving and storage. Candidates should be able to lift heavy items, work in a cold environment, and commit to learning multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality required.
• Ability to work well with others and provide great guest service.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work in a cold environment.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally and 40 lbs constantly.

Responsibilities

• Provides polite, friendly service to all guests.
• Prepares product for sale (cutting, weighing, trimming) per Floco Foods standards.
• Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen and fresh meat cases.
• Provides special guest service requests (e.g., custom cuts, slicing).
• Maintains sanitation standards in the cooler, sales and prep areas.
• Ensures high quality, freshness and properly dated products are available for sale.
• Communicates temperature issues to supervisor.
• Announces meat department sale items over the PA system.
• Assists in product receiving and storage.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by management.
