Job summary

Kj’s Market in Arkansas is seeking a Meat Department team member to deliver friendly guest service, assist in cutting, weighing and trimming, and ensure fresh, properly dated products for sale.

You will handle special requests, rotate stock, and support the department in daily operations while maintaining high sanitation and efficient service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality and guest focus.
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced setting.
• Must be able to lift 100 lbs occasionally and 40 lbs constantly.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and job requirements.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work in a cold environment.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Previous meat cutting experience and skill test qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provides polite, friendly service to all guests.
• Prepares product for sale (cutting, weighing, trimming) according to standards.
• Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen and prepared meats and fresh meat case.
• Provides special guest service requests (eg. special cuts, slicing).
• Maintains sanitation standards in the cooler, sales and prep areas.
• Maintains high quality, freshness and properly dated product available for sale.
• Communicate temperature failures to supervisor.
• Announce meat department sale items on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
• All other tasks as assigned by management.
