Job summary

Kj’s Market is hiring a Meat Department Associate to provide friendly, guest-focused service and help prepare and display products to high quality standards.

You will cut, weigh, trim, stock, and rotate meat items, handle special requests, maintain sanitation, and communicate temperature issues.

Requirements include being at least 18, able to lift 100 lbs, and willing to learn. We offer weekly pay, PTO, medical/dental/vision, disability, EAP, and a company-funded retirement program.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality and ability to work with others.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally and 40 lbs constantly.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work in a cold environment.
• Previous meat cutting experience preferred; includes meat cutting skill test qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provides polite, friendly service to guests.
• Prepares product for sale (cutting, weighing, trimming) according to Floco Foods standards.
• Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen and prepared meats and fresh meat case.
• Provides special customer service requests (eg. special cuts, slicing).
• Maintains sanitation standards in the cooler, sales and prep areas.
• Maintains high quality, freshness and properly dated product available for sale.
• Communicate temperature failures to supervisor.
• Announce meat department sale items on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
• All other tasks as assigned by management.
