Job summary

Kj’s Market in Hephzibah, GA is hiring a Meat Department Associate to assist guests, cut and prep meat, stock and rotate coolers, and handle special requests. You’ll maintain sanitation, ensure freshness, and assist with receiving. A customer-focused, reliable team member who works well in a cold environment is ideal.

Previous meat cutting experience is preferred. Position offers a fast-paced, friendly shop floor where teamwork and reliability matter daily.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Lift 100 lbs. occasionally and 40 lbs. constantly.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and techniques.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to work in a cold environment.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Previous meat cutting experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides polite, friendly service to all guests.
• Prepares product for sale (cutting, weighing, trimming) per standards.
• Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen and fresh meat cases.
• Handles special guest service requests (eg. custom cuts).
• Maintains sanitation in cooler, sales and prep areas.
• Ensures high quality, freshness, and proper dating of products.
• Communicates temperature failures to supervisor.
• Announces meat department sale items on the PA system.
• Assists in product receiving and storage.
• All other tasks as assigned by management.
