Food City in Crossville, AL is seeking a dependable Meat Department Associate to handle cutting and merchandising of fresh meat, assist in ordering, receiving and displaying products, grind and slice meat, and keep displays clean and well rotated. You will follow HACCP guidelines, provide courteous service, and support keeping codes and temperatures accurate.

Prior meat cutting experience is a plus but not required; on-site attendance is expected, with a flexible schedule and opportunities for

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Meat cutting experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks, and interact with various individuals daily
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies

Responsibilities

• Cut and merchandise all fresh meat.
• Assist in ordering, receiving and displaying all product.
• Grind meat.
• Slice meat.
• Assist in organizing cooler arrangement and stocking of cooler.
• Rotate product to ensure freshness.
• Maintain neat and clean appearance of all display cases.
• Maintain good code dates on all products in display cases.
• Keep work station and area around it neat and clean.
• Department is to be sanitized and disinfected twice daily.
• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers.
• Assist in enforcing and maintaining the company HACCP program.
