Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking a meat department team member to assist in daily cutting of fresh beef, pork, and grind, and to follow the production schedule to meet advertised cuts.

You will write fresh meat orders, organize deliveries, and maintain positive relationships with customers and team. Requirements include familiarity with weights and safety procedures, packaging, inventory control, and a current hand jack license.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with weights and measure processes specific to meat processing.
• Ability to understand and follow specific safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience in product presentation and packaging.
• Experience using Computer Assisted Ordering applications.
• Current handjack/hilo license.
• Experience with inventory control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the writing of fresh meat orders.
• Organizing and checking in fresh meat deliveries.
