Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Meat Cutter in the fresh meat department. You will assist in daily cutting of fresh beef, pork and grind, follow the production schedule, and help ensure accurate orders and attractive product presentation.

This role requires familiarity with weights and measures in meat processing, adherence to safety and sanitation procedures, inventory control experience, and proficiency with Computer Assisted Ordering. A current handjack/hilo license is required.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with weights and measure processes specific to meat processing.
• Ability to understand and follow specific safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience in product presentation and packaging.
• Experience using Computer Assisted Ordering applications.
• Current handjack/hilo license.
• Experience with inventory control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the writing of fresh meat orders.
• Organizing and checking in fresh meat deliveries.
