Festival Foods, a Wisconsin grocer, is seeking a Meat Cutter to join the Meat Department. You’ll cut, wrap, and prep non-case ready meats, ensuring quality and proper labeling while delivering excellent guest service.

Qualifications

• Experience as a butcher or meat cutter in grocery/retail settings.
• Customer-focused with strong communication.
• Knowledge of perishable foods, especially meat.
• Must be 18+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Expert meat cutting: prepare non-case ready products per standards.
• Butchery leadership on the sales floor with safety and sanitation compliance.
• Apply culinary knowledge to assist guests and select the best cuts.
• Maintain quality and quantity by filling cases (fresh, frozen, processed).
• Provide team support and positive culture within Meat Department.
• Drive sales by ensuring visually appealing products and accurate labeling.
• Minimize waste through proper trim, production lists, and efficient processes.
• Manage product packaging, labeling, and storage per company policy.
• Assist in training Utility team members in grinding, sausage making, and wrapping.
• Lead cleanliness and safety in department, including equipment maintenance.
• Provide excellent guest services at the meat counter and answer inquiries.
• Fulfill special orders and respond to guest requests promptly.
• Support teamwork and adapt to department needs; honor commitments.
