Houchens Food Group seeks a Meat Cutter to support the meat department in daily operations, including cutting, storing, cleaning, and serving meat. The role involves following guidelines, stocking displays, and providing courteous service to customers.

Flex schedule with full or part-time options; monitor shrink and assist in inventory, record hours, and cooperate with the Meat Manager to ensure safe, accurate processing.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• No prior experience necessary.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.

Responsabilités

• Prepare, cut, store, clean, and serve meat as part of daily duties.
• Monitor distribution to ensure guidelines are followed.
• Keep meat coolers, cases, and displays stocked and clean.
• Observe shift hours as assigned by meat/store manager.
• Provide friendly, courteous, and prompt service to customers.
• Maintain communication with the meat manager.
• Help control shrink and manage inventory records.
• Record all hours worked and sign time tickets.
• Assist with bookkeeping for weekly and monthly meat purchases.
• Assist in inventorying products and prepaying orders.
• Support the Meat Manager with a four-week meat inventory.
• Ensure proper rotation of received products and stock levels.
• Maintain proper temperatures in meat coolers and cases.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain the department.
