Job summary

HOUCHENS FOOD GROUP, INC. is seeking a Meat Cutter to support the meat department with preparation, cutting, storage, cleaning and serving of meat products. The role offers flexible scheduling and both full-time and part-time hours, reporting to the Meat Manager.

Responsibilities include monitoring guidelines, maintaining stock in coolers and displays, ensuring proper temperatures, and providing friendly, prompt service to customers while maintaining accurate records and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Education required: High School Graduate or GED.
• No prior experience required.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor food distribution and ensure guidelines are followed.
• Clean and sterilize dishes, utensils, equipment, and facilities.
• Maintain coolers, cases and displays by keeping them stocked.
• Observe scheduled shift hours as assigned by meat or store manager.
• Give all customers friendly, courteous, and prompt service.
• Maintain good communication with the meat manager.
• Record all hours worked and sign the time ticket report.
• Monitor food preparation and serving.
• Assist in recording and maintaining accurate bookkeeping for weekly and monthly meat purchases.
• Assist in inventorying products and controlling shrink.
