Caraluzzi's Markets in Bethel, CT is seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our family-run grocery team. The role focuses on cutting, trimming, and displaying beef, pork, poultry, and other meats to our high standards, while helping customers with selections and recipe ideas.

You will work weekends and holidays as needed, maintain clean work areas and equipment, follow food safety guidelines, and contribute to a positive team environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Strong knowledge of meat cuts, trimming techniques, and product quality standards.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to assist customers with product recommendations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, grind, and prepare beef, pork, poultry, and other meat products to company standards.
• Package, wrap, label, price, and stock fresh meat products for display and sale.
• Maintain attractive, well-stocked meat displays while rotating product and monitoring freshness and expiration dates.
• Assist customers with product selection, cooking recommendations, and special cut requests.
• Ensure all products meet company standards for quality, presentation, and food safety.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas, cutting equipment, coolers, and display cases.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company procedures.
• Support department operations and work collaboratively with team members.
• Other duties as assigned.
