Plum Market in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Meat Cutter to expertly breakdown, prepare, and present a wide range of fresh meat products with a focus on quality and food safety.

You will cut, portion, and trim meats to Plum Market standards, maintain a clean work area, and provide knowledgeable Customer Service while supporting department goals and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Evening/weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in meat cutting with breaking down sub-primals, portioning, and trimming.
• Exceptional knife skills and knowledge of cut techniques and yields.
• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and storage standards.
• Effective communication and a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Cut and prepare a wide range of meat products according to Plum Market standards.
• Assist in preparation of ground meats and value-added offerings with in-house recipes.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times.
• Ensure proper product rotation and restocking of meat cases to maintain freshness.
• Provide knowledgeable customer service and cooking recommendations.
• Help train Team Members in proper cutting and food safety techniques.
• Uphold Plum Market policies, food safety protocols, and procedures.
