Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a meat department teammate to process meat products, fulfill special customer requests, and keep market and seafood cases full, rotated, and fresh with prepackaged meats.

You will promote excellent customer service while maintaining safety and quality standards in a retail setting. This role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High school Diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Food Handler certification required.

Responsibilities

• Process meat by removing fat, tenderizing, grinding, and/or cutting to proper thickness and size.
• Cut, weigh, package, and label product; use hand tools to cut or saw meat to desired sizes.
• Clean, assemble, and prepare machinery; operate machinery and regulate speed.
• Check product quality and ensure food safety standards are met; inspect for aroma, texture, and color.
• Stock pallets and sort product according to efficiency standards.
• Provide friendly, customer-service oriented assistance and fulfill special cuts on request.
