Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a Meat Department Associate to process meat products, fulfill special customer requests, and keep cases full and fresh. You will rotate products, assist customers, and ensure a safe, clean shopping environment in a fast-paced retail setting.

The role requires the ability to handle knives and equipment safely, work flexible schedules including nights and weekends, and maintain high standards of food safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with related experience or education.
• Minimum of 18 years of age; drivers must be 21+ years old.
• Food Handler certification required.
• 1+ years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes meat by removing fat, tenderizing, grinding, and/or cutting to proper thickness and size.
• Cuts, weighs, packages, and labels product.
• Operates machinery, regulates speed, and stops machinery at precise points.
• Checks product for quality control and ensures food safety standards are met.
• Provides friendly, customer service-oriented attitude by greeting customers and fulfilling requests for special cuts of meat.
• Maintains clean, safe, and sanitary working environment.
