Job summary

ShopRite of West Milford is seeking a Meat Cutter Clerk to deliver great customer experiences in the meat department. You will cut and trim meat, stock cases, and assist customers with selections while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace.

The role requires lifting up to 90 lbs occasionally, working in refrigerated areas, and following all sanitation and safety standards. Strong English skills and teamwork are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak English.
• Able to perform basic math.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation.
• Able to lift 35 lbs regularly and 80-90 lbs occasionally.
• Able to work in refrigerated, high-humidity environments.
• Able to work with meat department equipment (saws, grinders, knives).
• Able to stand/walk for whole shifts and interact with customers.
• Able to work cooperatively with others and adhere to schedules.

Responsibilities

• Cut and trim meat to company specs and rotate products.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary work areas.
• Assist customers with meat selections and product knowledge.
• Operate/mechanically handle meat department equipment safely.
• Follow procedures for stocking, pricing, and shrink control.
• Adhere to safety, QA, and Department of Sanitation standards.
