Job summary

ShopRite of Sicklerville is seeking a Meat Cutter Clerk to deliver a great customer experience in the Meat Department. You will cut meat per company standards, maintain a clean, safe, and visually appealing department, and assist customers with selections.

The position requires physical stamina, safe food-handling knowledge, and the ability to work in varying temperatures; lifting up to 80–90 lbs may be needed, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs. and occasionally 80–90 lbs.
• Ability to operate Meat Department equipment.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly way.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Sanitize all surfaces, utensils and equipment per standards.
• Operate department equipment safely and efficiently.
• Cut and trim meat according to standards.
• Rotate products and maintain meat cases.
• Adhere to QA, safety, and company policies.
