Job summary

Confidential in Litchfield, MN is seeking a Meat Cutter to cut and prepare a variety of meats, weight portions, and create value-added products per department standards. You will ensure accuracy, maintain product quality, and contribute to department profitability.

Qualified candidates will have a HS diploma or GED, 1+ year in retail/meat experience preferred, and strong reading/mathematical skills. This is a full-time role offering comprehensive benefits and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Experience in meat department or apprentice role preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.
• Detail oriented with good math skills.

Responsibilities

• Cut and weigh steaks, chops, etc. for individual servings.
• Produce value-added products per guidelines.
• Cut, trim, and bone carcass sections to cooking cuts.
• Follow recipes to grind and tray meats and make sausage and other products.
• Price, date, wrap and/or bag meat products per guidelines.
• Maintain clean, stocked displays and rotate stock.
• Notify manager when products or supplies need to be ordered.
