Join the meat team and you’ll help ensure quality, packaging, and display of meat items for members. Your attention to detail and steady hand support a quality product and great member experience.
What you’ll do
- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicate with team members and be flexible to work in other areas as needed.
- Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of floor operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the handling of meat products; prepare, cut, wrap, trim, and maintain product quality.
- Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; operate handheld technology to support production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
- Be an Owner: Maintain an orderly work area; ensure quality and date control for meat products; secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise; assist members with purchasing decisions; ensure proper packaging, labeling, and storage per policies.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Promote high-quality service and products; model energy and commitment for the department and the club.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; apply the Open Door Policy in business processes.
- Complete work assignments by using policies and data; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; communicate progress and adapt to feedback.
- Support broader benefits and programs for Sam’s Club members and associates as appropriate.
