Job summary

ZippyApp - Recruitment Marketing is seeking a Meat Cutter to keep our meat cases stocked with fresh, high-quality meat and poultry for customers. You will receive, stock, cut, wrap, weigh, price, and merchandise department products while maintaining proper rotation and minimizing waste.

You will assist customers with questions about products and services and operate equipment such as meat saws, slicers, grinders, and wrapping machines.

Qualifications

• Must be able to frequently lift 35 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Stock and merchandise meat department products to ensure fresh, high-quality offerings.
• Receive, stock, cut, wrap, weigh, and price meat and poultry items.
• Assist customers with questions about meat products and services and operate related equipment.

Meat cutters are responsible for ensuring the meat cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality meat and poultry products for our customers. They receive, stock, cut, grind, wrap, weigh, price, and attractively merchandise meat department products. They also stock prepackaged meat items and frozen food products that fall under the meat department. They ensure proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize product freshness and availability, while minimizing waste. They assist customers with special request and answer questions about our meat products and services. Meat cutters work with equipment like meat saws, slicers, grinders, wrapping machines, and knives.
