Job summary

Meat Cutter position requires cutting and preparing all varieties and cuts of meat, ensuring safe operation of tools and a clean work environment. You will assist customers in selecting the best options and maintain meat cases.

Responsibilities include reading cutting lists, inventory support, wrapping, and adherence to company policies. Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent preferred.
• Prior work experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

• Grinds meats.
• Fills cases/stock meat.
• Rotates product properly.
• Assists Meat Manager with inventory.
• Operates wrapping scale and other machinery in Meat Department.
• Receives and processes meat shipment correctly and assists customers with request and information.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, cases work area and sales floor
• Works with company programs, policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Meat Cutter is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and establishing and maintaining a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Meat Cutters will need to know the varieties of meats and cuts and help customers identify the best selections.
