Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking team members for the meat department to support counter service, stocking, and sanitation while upholding store standards and Health & Safety regulations. Typical duties include maintaining clean displays, stocking back areas, assisting with sampling, and executing opening/closing tasks.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for 6–8 hours.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensures fresh and appealing display by checking quality, keeping cases clean and stocked, rotating and removing out‑of‑date products.
• Maintains back stock in good order and assists with sampling program.
• Cleans cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, smokers, floors, and drains as required.
• Provides excellent customer service, answers phones, and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Preps, stores, rotates, stocks, and merchandises products to maximize sales potential.
• Follows procedures including health, sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working/shopping environment and reports safety hazards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties and ensures pricing accuracy.
