Job summary

Three Bears Alaska, Inc. is seeking a Meat Clerk to support the Meat Department and learn to advance into a Meat Cutter role. You will help with packaging, labeling, grinding, stocking, rotation, sanitation, and basic production activities under leadership guidance.

The role emphasizes reliability, customer service, food safety, merchandising, and a willingness to learn department operations while contributing to the Meat Department's success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Food Handling Certification as required by regulations.
• Preferred: Grocery/retail/food service or meat dept. experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous, and professional customer service, including assisting customers with product selection and questions.
• Assist with department setup, packaging, labeling, stocking, grinding, and rotation.
• Operate wrapping machines, labelers, scales and other equipment per procedures.
• Maintain attractive, fully stocked displays and organized cooler/backstock areas.
• Inspect products for freshness, dating and saleability and report concerns.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, tools, and facilities.
• Report product quality, food safety, equipment, and customer concerns.
