Job summary

Three Bears Alaska is seeking a Meat Clerk to support the Meat Department while learning to advance to Meat Cutter. You will assist with packaging, labeling, stocking, and basic production, under dept. leadership, in a climate-controlled retail setting.

The role emphasizes reliability, customer service, food safety, merchandizing, and a willingness to learn. Paid training and opportunities for advancement are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Food handling certification required by regulations.
• Previous grocery/retail/food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous customer service and assist with product selection.
• Set up, package, label, stock, and rotate products.
• Operate wrapping machines, labelers, and scales per procedures.
• Maintain attractive displays and organized backstock areas.
• Inspect freshness, report concerns to leadership.
• Follow food safety, sanitation and safety standards.
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment.
• Participate in required training and coaching.
• Assist with front-end duties and other store departments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
