Job summary

Three Bears Alaska, Inc. is seeking a Meat Clerk in Big Lake, AK. This entry-level position supports Meat Department operations while learning to advance into a Meat Cutter role.

You will assist with packaging, labeling, stocking, rotation, and sanitation while delivering friendly customer service. Responsibilities include operating wrapping machines and scales, maintaining attractive displays, ensuring food safety, and collaborating with department leadership for training and growth

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Food Handling Certification required by regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous customer service and assist with product questions.
• Assist with department setup, packaging, labeling, stocking, rotation, and sanitation.
• Operate wrapping machines, labelers, scales and other approved equipment per procedures.
• Maintain attractive displays and organized backstock areas.
• Inspect products for freshness, dating and saleability; report concerns to leadership.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and proper handling; follow safety protocols.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, tools, equipment, and department facilities.
• Report product quality, food safety, equipment and customer concerns to leadership.
• Participate in required training and development for advancement within the department.
• Assist with front-end duties and other store departments as needed.
