Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Meat Clerk to join our Reno store. You will provide exceptional customer service, handle meat preparation, stocking, and safety procedures in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with the meat team to receive deliveries, rotate stock, assist customers with questions and orders, and follow company safety and cleanliness programs. Flexible scheduling and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent with basic math, weights and measures.
• Must be dependable, reliable and able to perform other related duties as assigned.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Able to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department and sanitize work areas.
• Adhere to safety, health, weights and measures regulations and company recipes.
• Must be capable of standing for long periods and lifting 25–90 lbs. as needed.
• Able to operate pallet jack and move heavy loads up to 500 lbs. in various conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level of customer service and assist with questions and special orders.
• Receive, store, and grind meats; rotate products to prevent aging.
• Direct customers to product locations and maintain knowledge of weekly ads.
• Follow Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4 Programs and other department procedures.
• Maintain product knowledge and safety standards in a fast-paced meat department.
