Job summary

ZippyApp - Recruitment Marketing is seeking a hands-on Meat Department Assistant to support the Meat Manager in daily operations. You will help maintain a clean, fresh, and attractive department, assist with cutting, wrapping, and merchandising beef, chicken and pork, and ensure cold case and freezer displays are well stocked.

You will also help manage orders, receive products, monitor customer satisfaction, and assist with government compliance and seasonal tasks as requested.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Some meat experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Meat Manager with tasks to assure profitable operation of the meat department.
• Maintain a clean, attractive, fresh and appealing department.
• Work with the Meat Manager on sales, labor and profits.
• Order and receive meat products and supplies.
• Grind and wrap meat products and maintain proper meat logs.
• Cut and merchandise beef, chicken and pork.
• Fill cold cut and freezer cases.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve complaints.
• Ensure compliance with government rules and regulations.
• Complete special duties or assignments as requested by the Meat Manager.
