Job Summary

Job Title: Meat Clerk

Reports To: Meat Manager

The Meat Clerk maintains stock levels within the Meat Department's sales floor by replenishing products as needed. They provide exceptional service to all guests behind the service counter and on the sales floor, embodying the boomerang theory.

Part-Time, 16+, Friday and Saturday evening availability required.

External Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist guests in finding items on or off the sales floor
• Receive, prepare, and fulfill guest orders and special requests
• Provide excellent guest service by professionally answering department calls and engaging with guests on the sales floor
• Support team members and contribute positively to the Meat Department culture
• Address guest concerns and resolve issues using the boomerang principle
• Inspect, rotate, maintain proper temperatures, and replenish all meat products to ensure high quality standards
• Maintain proper inventory levels of containers, wraps, tags, etc.
• Follow food safety procedures and maintain logs
• Meet quality standards, including quantity expectations at 100% by 10 am and 5 pm
• Maintain regular, timely attendance and provide notice for absences
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to recognize and react to safety hazards; knowledge of equipment and procedures such as slicers, proper lifting, trash compactor, and baler

WORK SCHEDULE

The Meat Clerk position can be part-time or full-time, with shifts varying to include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
